We are excited to announce that the amazing Kate Morris from Washington Elks Therapy Program and Mari Mazon from the UW Center on Human Development and Disability will be joining this session to discuss feeding and Nutrition for your Preemie! They both have a lot of experience dealing with the specific issues that preemies face and will offer some great tips and ideas on how to help your child!
There are so many preemies that struggle with feeding and nutrition issues. Why - do you ask? Because of GERD/reflux, feeding tubes (previously or currently in use), oral aversions, mechanical issues (with suck/swallow/breathe), weight gain issues, etc. Feeding issues are one of the most frustrating things for preemie parents to work with and this is one of our most popular meetings - and is applicable for preemies of all ages!
These sessions are always very informative! Kate and Mari are amazingly dedicated to helping families of preemies and working to solve the feeding problems. We highly recommend attending even if you are in the Seattle area. You are sure to walk away feeling empowered!
