Caring Together without being Torn Apart

  • EvergreenHealth 12333 Northeast 130th Lane Kirkland, WA, 98034 United States

Having a preemie or medically fragile child comes with its own set of challenges. As parents, we often neglect the relationships that mean the most to us in order to survive the next day or week. You may have heard that in order to care for your child, you must also care for yourself. This bit of advice is easily tossed aside especially in the face of caring for your child. Bring your partner (if you can) to this event as we discuss how to survive preemie parenting together without being torn apart.

Julie Wood, MA, LMFT, LMHC, will be joining us to talk about this important subject and give us ideas on how we can support each other and keep our important relationships intact. SPP leadership team spouses plan on attending this session to share their perspective.

Special Note:

We know not everyone has a parenting partner and not everyone has the ability to get a babysitter so their significant other can attend. COME ANYWAY! Partners are not required to attend this meeting.

Babies in arms are always welcome!
